I purchased this item for my mom, so she can do her work out virtually due to the virus.
I looked around at the different CPU's in the computers and the ram etc
8 core at 2.0ghz and 4gs of ddr4 is perfect for this laptop and 8 cores is quite rare in a small netbook.
THE GOOD: It booted up in about 3-4 seconds and made it to the home screen in about 3 seconds after typing in password. The webpages loaded super fast and so did all the applications. The webcam looks great for 720p and so do the pictures! The OS is smooth and layed out intuitively. ITS LIGHT and the battery last forever, the screen is plenty bright AND has USB-C and 3.0 connections(I believe it was 3.0) The white shell is very nice looking and just looks great!
THE BAD: The only lag I noticed was when in Youtube and makin a video full screen, took about 1- 1 1/2 seconds to happen, nothing crazy or weird.

I bought this for my daughter who's in middle school doing remote learning. The chromebook exceeded my expectations and daughter is happy. She can do homework and watch shows too. The battery last a couple days without charging. I was scared for the price (is really cheap) but is totally worth it!

Hello! I purchased this computer for school but the gag is I can barely even use it for school. You CAN NOT download respondus lockdown browser (information I tried to look up before I bought the computer but there was no mention of the subject) and the wifi is janky. It connected to my schools wifi at first and then boom it disconnected and hasn’t let me connect back ever sense. It says I have the wrong “user and password” but I use the same user and pw to connect on my phone and there’s no problems. It’s also extremely slow even if your wifi is good. I would recommend just spending a couple more hundred dollars and getting a laptop that’s worth it instead of wasting your money on this junk and having to buy a new laptop eventually. Sucks since this is my first experience with a chrome book but I’ll definitely NEVER buy one again. Should’ve stuck with Mac. DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!

Did not like the fact that I would have had to sign in to Google to use the laptop and access internet each time. What if I want to type a paper in the park? It is my computer! Also...at the second try to turn it on...it said "Chrome Os missing or damaged"...I returned the Chromebook. It has been at Amazon 4 days and no refund....a week since I returned it.

So this is a pretty good laptop!
I use it to look up and research topics for classes as well as Google services such as Google Docs or Google Sheets! It's not a Macbook, let's be clear. But streaming videos on Youtube or Netflix? Works great!! Need to type up a research paper (possibly last minute at 11:25)? Works great!! I got this to last me through community college as well! I know I need to use Office in college next year, so when I do, if it works, I'm going to try and remember to update this review. Even if you aren't a student, this works pretty good!
